Born and raised in Horsham in Victoria, and a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Alex has performed a variety of leading roles across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and on London’s West End.
At 24, Alex spent a year playing the principal role of Raoul in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera (Cameron Mackintosh). Back in Australia, he received a Helpmann Award for his performance as Billy Crocker in Anything Goes (Opera Australia & John Frost), in which he starred alongside Caroline O’Connor and Todd McKenney.
For his portrayal of Sid Worley in the world premiere of An Officer and a Gentleman (Gordon Frost Organisation), Alex was nominated for a Sydney Theatre Award and a Green Room Award. He also received a Green Room Award nomination for his performance as Older Patrick in Mame (The Production Company).
Alex’s versatility has been showcased in other roles ranging from Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (John Frost & Suzanne Jones) to Brad Majors in The Rocky Horror Show (TML Enterprises), Greg Connell in The Boy From Oz (The Production Company) to Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone (Melbourne Theatre Company), Simon Stride in Jekyll & Hyde 25th Anniversary Concert (Concertworks) to Carl Bruner in Ghost The Musical (GWB Entertainment, Ambassador & Red Live), among others. On television, Alex has had guest roles in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (ABC & Everycloud), Rush (Channel Ten), Winners and Losers (Seven Network), and featured in Carols in the Domain, The Morning Show, ABC News Breakfast and Mornings with Kerri-Anne.
Off stage, Alex has passionately supported a variety of charities, volunteering as a regular guest artist with Very Special Kids, as an ambassador for Entertainment Assist, and fundraising for Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Movember men’s health campaign, as well as supporting a variety of performing arts community events in his hometown of Horsham, including as Patron of the Wimmera Music Eisteddfod.
In 2020, amidst the live entertainment industry shutdowns, Alex determined to create opportunities for performing arts workers by conceiving and producing an online concert, Heart Sounds, celebrating frontline healthcare workers on International Nurses and Midwives Day, produced in partnership with fellow performer-producer Elise McCann. Still in the midst of the pandemic, Alex created a six-part mental health web series, Sound Mind, in partnership with the Arts Wellbeing Collective, the wellbeing initiative of Arts Centre Melbourne.
In 2021, as Special Projects Manager with Global Citizen in Australia, Alex was an executive producer of the Australian segments of Global Citizen Live, a 24-hour global fundraising broadcast combatting extreme poverty and climate change, where he worked in close partnership with the Sydney Opera House and an extensive global production team.
After relishing the role of Giles in the sell-out 2022-2023 tour of The Mousetrap, Alex is delighted to be returning to Monkswell Manor in 2024.
Hannah Fredericksen is building an impressive portfolio of leading lady credits across both stage and screen. Most recently, Hannah completed her run as a closing company member of Australia’s longest running stage play, Harry Potter & The Cursed Child (MCG) as Moaning Myrtle. Hannah starred opposite David Campbell and originated the role of Sandra Dee in the world premiere of Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical in Sydney and reprised her role in its highly successful return season in Melbourne. She once again performed alongside David as Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme in the critically acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins at both the Hayes Theatre and Sydney Opera House.
Hannah’s other leading musical theatre credits include Heather Duke in Heathers (Showwork), Mallory/Avril in City of Angels (Life Like Co) and Kate Kelly in Ned – A New Australian Musical (Groaning Dam). Her theatre roles include Sofia in Dance Nation (Red Stitch), Amy in Oil (Red Stitch), Elizabeth in Third World Blues (Company 11), Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest (Citizen Theatre) and Olivia (Standby) in Twelfth Night (MTC).
Hannah made her feature film debut starring opposite David Wenham and Jacqueline McKenzie in the late director Paul Cox’s final feature film Force of Destiny, which opened the Melbourne International Film Festival. On television, Hannah has played Olivia Newton-John in the Seven Network’s AACTA and Logie award winning mini-series Molly, and most recently featured opposite Darren Gilshenan in Plausible Deniability (Random Pictures/Screen Australia). Other notable television credits include Mandy Hodson in Informer 3838 (Screentime), Bianca in Playing for Keeps (Network 10), Lilly in Offspring (Ten Network), Robyn Leneham in Wake In Fright (Network 10) and Jessie Slavich in Hunters for the US SyFy Network (Matchbox).
Hannah is also a sought after voice artist whose recent audiobook narration credits include The Love Contact (Steph Vizard), The Eleventh Floor (Kylie Orr), One Another (Gail Jones) and The Grazier’s Son (Cathryn Hein). She is a graduate of The Victorian College of the Arts, Bachelor of Music Theatre.
Gerry Connolly is an accomplished Australian actor, comic and musician. He has employed his talents on stage, in cabaret and revue, film and television. Since graduating from the Qld Conservatorium of Music (B Mus) in 1983 he has developed a following here and abroad principally as a comic and satirist: of royalty, politicians and public figures, but keeps his acting hand in in theatrical productions for the state theatre companies, as well as major state and international festivals.
In his acclaimed guise as HM The Queen, Connolly has appeared on stage, television and for corporate organisations in Australia and the Commonwealth, opening and closing events in a truly majestic yet hilarious way.
Over forty years, Gerry has been in demand as a performer and presenter in corporate and public events at conferences, after-dinner, in debates and the like.
In 2019 Connolly co-wrote State of Origin, the Musical with Hugh Lunn, the show having a short exhibition run at The Princess Theatre, Brisbane. It is hoped this new work will be given a new lease of life in the commercial theatre, post-pestilence. In 2020 a new production, The Rise and Disguise of Elizabeth R, was presented at the Hayes Theatre, produced by Gus Murray (Sugary Rum Prods), directed by Shaun Rennie and co-written by Connolly and Nick Coyle. It received critical and public acclaim.
Most recently, Gerry played Mr Paravicini in the 70th Anniversary Australian tour of The Mousetrap, and is excited to re-visit the role.
Geraldine Turner most recently played Madame Morrible in the Sydney season of the Broadway Blockbuster musical Wicked, and Mrs Boyle in the 70th Anniversary Australian tour of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. Her extensive musical performances include Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, Into The Woods, Company, Chicago, Anything Goes, Cabaret, Kismet, Oliver, Guys and Dolls, Call Me Madam, Noel and Gertie, Mack and Mabel, Ned Kelly, Grease, The Witches of Eastwick, Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and operettas Two Weddings, One Bride, La Belle Helene, HMS Pinafore and The Mikado.
Geraldine has also appeared in many plays, including Inheritance, Steel Magnolias, Present Laughter, Don’s Party, The Forest, The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, The Elephant Man and Vagina Monologues. Her film appearances include Careful, He Might Hear You, The Wog Boy, Summerfield and Break of Day, and recordings include The Stephen Sondheim Songbook, When We Met, Torch Songs, Once in a Blue Moon, the cast albums of Chicago and Anything Goes, and a three CD set in the Great Australian Voices series for Desiree Records.
Geraldine has received numerous Green Room awards, Glugs awards, Sydney Critic Circle awards, and an Order of Australia for services to the arts. She recently released her memoir, Turner’s Turn, published by New Holland.
Chris Parker is an accomplished theatre director, actor and photographer. He has performed lead roles in musicals such as Sky in Mamma Mia (Louise Withers), Johnny Slocum in Summer Rain (Sydney Theatre Company), Will Parker in Oklahoma (The Production Company), Alec in Sideshow Alley (Jim McPherson), Bobby Childs in Crazy For You (The Production Company) and Franklin Shepard in Merrily We Roll Along (Melbourne Recital Centre). The Sydney Theatre Awards nominated Chris Best Newcomer back in 2005. He toured Australia extensively with Nick Enright’s play Daylight Saving, and again with David Williamson’s play The Club.
Chris recently directed the 25th Anniversary Concert of Jekyll and Hyde starring Anthony Warlow and Jemma Rix, and the critically acclaimed production of Oklahoma! for The Production Company’s 20th anniversary year at the State Theatre at Arts Centre Melbourne. His directing work includes Thoroughly Modern Millie at Arts Centre Melbourne, Les Misérables and The Irish Boy, which premiered at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Chris has worked on the development of many new musicals including Georgy Girl - The Seekers Musical, Moonshadow – a musical fantasy by Yusuf, The Gathering and the Helpmann award-winning Sideshow Alley. Chris was the associate director for the Australian touring productions of A German Life starring Robyn Nevin (Adelaide Festival/GFO), The Graduate starring Jerry Hall (Kay and McLean Productions), Avenue Q (Arts Asia Pacific), The Bodyguard (Gordon Frost Organisation) and Geoffrey Robertson’s Dreaming Too Loud. Other directing credits include Cry Baby, The Matchmaker, Blood Brothers, Sondheim on Sondheim, The Last Five Years and an award-winning concert of Matthew Robinson’s new musical Atlantis.
Chris is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Born and raised in the Adelaide foothills, Miranda Daughtry graduated from NIDA in 2015. Her theatre credits include The Bleeding Tree (Theatre Republic), Things I Know to be True (Belvoir), Three Sisters (Sydney Theatre Company), The Cherry Orchard (New Theatre), Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons (Benjamin Sheen), Hysteria (Darlinghurst Theatre Company) and A Doll’s House, Macbeth, In The Club and Sense and Sensibility, all as a member of the 2017/18 STCSA Ensemble. For her role in A Doll’s House, Miranda received the award of Best Emerging Artist of the Year from the Adelaide Critics Circle and a Helpmann Award Nomination for Best Female Actor in a Play.
Miranda's screen credits include Cowboy Bebop (Netflix), Heartbreak High (Netflix) and Picture Works film, Knot. Miranda is a proud member of Equity (MEAA).
Tim Walker is a graduate of NIDA (Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting, 2018) and is based in Sydney. At NIDA he was the recipient of the Hazel Treweek Shakespeare, Keith Bain Movement and Lesley Walford Awards. Tim is also a writer and filmmaker. He studied filmmaking at Swinburne University and is the co-creator of the Stan original film A Sunburnt Christmas which was nominated for the 2021 AWGIE (Best Television Screenplay) and the 2021 AACTA Award (Best Telefeature and Audience Choice Award). He also co-wrote the Stan original film Christmas Ransom for which he was nominated for the 2024 AWGIE (Best Screenplay - Comedy).
